Floor tile is calibrated to a consistent thickness so it installs on thin-bed adhesive without shimming — which is what most international tiling contractors expect and what keeps installation costs predictable.
Pavers are supplied thicker for bedded installation: 30 mm for pedestrian terraces, 40 mm for heavy pedestrian and light vehicular, 50 mm for driveways. Flamed and bush hammered finishes carry high wet slip ratings.
