Indonesian natural stone facade on a contemporary commercial building
Application

Facades

Large-format panels, rainscreen cladding and cut-to-size elevations in andesite, basalt and black lava.

Stone elevations engineered for scale, wind load and weather.

A facade is a structural problem before it is an aesthetic one. Panel weight, fixing method, wind load, movement joints and thermal expansion all govern what the stone can be before the design conversation begins.

We supply facade stone as cut-to-size panels machined for the fixing system specified by your engineer — kerf slots, undercut anchors or drilled pins — numbered and crated in installation sequence.

Specification notes

Send the fixing detail early

The bracket system determines panel thickness and machining. Sending it with the enquiry avoids a re-quote later.

Panel size is block-dependent

600 × 1200 mm is standard. Larger panels are possible but depend on current block yield — confirm before specifying.

Specify the material to the climate

Dense basalt for freeze–thaw climates. Andesite and lava stone for tropical and Gulf exposure. Limestone and sandstone are not exterior facade materials in high-rainfall climates.

Allow for movement joints

Stone facades need them. Coordinate positions with us so panels are cut to land on the joint rather than being cut on site.

Black Lava Stone Wall Cladding

Dark volcanic cladding in flat panel and stacked formats, with the open vesicular texture that separates real lava stone from a manufactured dark tile.

Interlocking / puzzle joint

Interlocking Stone Mosaic

Panels cut with an interlocking profile so adjacent modules key into each other and the panel joint becomes invisible.

Split Face Stone Mosaic

Stone split along its natural fracture rather than sawn, leaving a raised irregular face that throws deep shadow across the wall.

Stone suited to facades

Andesite stone paving and wall cladding on an Indonesian architectural project
Volcanic andesite

Andesite Stone

A dense grey volcanic stone with high compressive strength and very consistent colour. The most widely specified Indonesian stone for paving, cladding, coping and high-traffic commercial surfaces.

Material Details
Dense Indonesian basalt paving on a commercial plaza
Volcanic basalt

Basalt Stone

The tight-grained counterpart to lava stone: denser, less porous and more uniform. Specified where a dark stone must meet technical performance requirements for commercial paving and rainscreen facades.

Material Details
Black lava stone wall cladding on a contemporary villa facade in Indonesia
Volcanic basalt

Black Lava Stone

Indonesian basalt from the Java volcanic belt, quarried as a dense dark stone with fine natural porosity. Specified where architecture calls for depth, matte darkness and a surface that stays visually calm in strong sunlight.
